Brent is an attorney with the law firm of Lommen Abdo, P.A., who practices in the areas of civil litigation, business disputes, and personal injury. Brent relocated to the Hudson area from Rochester, Minnesota with his German Shepherd Dog, Izzy. Brent enjoys spending time with Izzy outdoors and is passionate about providing quality animal rescue services and facilities to the area where he practices.
I am a retired Registered Nurse and have been with St. Croix Animal Friends from the time the organization was formed. I live in Minnesota, but knew there was a great need for an animal shelter in St. Croix County-- and I wanted to help make that happen. I currently do most of the correspondence for the organization and greatly enjoy communicating with our supporters.
I was born in Glens Falls New York. I was one of eight children. My dad was a taconite miner and my mother a homemaker. At the age of five I left the mountain region to live and be raised by my sister in Fall River, Massachusetts and a year later located to Portsmouth, Rhode Island, where I would live until I graduated from high school. I met my future husband, Dennis J. Neubarth, who was station in Newport, Rhode Island at the naval base and was married. I moved to Hudson, Wisconsin had two children Robert and Cassie. I worked several jobs, held many positions, but always focused on animal welfare.
I’m a California transplant into the colds of the Midwest, and have lived in Hudson now for 20 years. I’m also a Crazy Cat Lady, with 5 cats, which makes our house just as crazy as you’d expect. By day, I am an Accountant, and for my hobby I am a group fitness instructor. We also love to travel, both nationally and internationally. I’ve been with SCAF for 10+ years, in many capacities, but as we get closer to our goal, I really can’t wait to see what we have ahead.
Lori began her professional life in animal welfare in 1989 with St. Croix Animal Shelter, now Animal Humane Society.
